I'll Drink to That! What is your favorite beverage to have with a cigar? Juice? Cola? Beer? Port? Single Malt Scotch? This room is for the discussion of beverages, especially alcoholic beverages that go well with cigars! |

Kegerator options
Help me out. I want a kegerator, and I already have the guts from an old kegerator I made out of an International Harvester (!) deep freeze. So I've got the regulator, thermostat, hoses, and sankey/cornelius fittings. I just used to pop the lid to pour, but I'm going to want a nice tap setup this time.
I'm going to want to have a setup so I can, at the very least, have 1 corny keg and 1 sankey keg going simultaneously. In the old IH, I could have 2 cornies and 2 sankeys at the same time...I don't think I'm going to have the floor space to do that this time. So, considering what I'm looking for, which of these sound like the best idea: 1) buy a costco-style kegerator. Cost about $500, but I can only have 1 sankey or 2 corneys at the same time. 2) use an old fridge/freezer. This was my original idea, but in New Orleans, I don't think there are going to be any used ones available...unless I go to the Almonaster/Read fridge graveyard, and try to detoxify one. 3) buy a cheap fridge/freezer from sears/walmart/costco and convert it. Suggestions? Thanks...
