Turquino peaberry!

When I first read this, the "divided flavor" just didn't make sense to me, but I learned long ago to trust ferde's insights where coffee is concerned. Last night I was roasting some Turquino and noticed some peaberry beans mixed in with the rest. It was pounding down rain outside and there was nothing worth watching on the tube soooooo........

I dumped about 4 pounds of Turq out into a big colander and hand-picked almost a half-cup of peaberry beans. I'm going to roast them tonight and conduct a little experiment - cup the brew beside some regular Turq and see if it was worth the time it took to pick out all them little bitty beans.
