NFL week 2

I did not watch any complete games Sunday as we sponsored a birthday bash for the September babies of my family (my mom and my son). And the NYFG played MNF so.... all I gotta say is...goddamn those special teams.

It was tough to watch the Giants blow a game in which they came back - stormed back - controlled the second half - the O-line came together and controlled the Cowboys defense - only to blow it with a lousy out of bounds kickoff that put the DC on the 40, from which they complete a pass that sets up a field goal that ties the game that sends it into OT where the Giants lose their momentum and can't get it done.

Keith Hamilton out with a hamstring is bad. Maybe the good is that the O line started to perfrom against (what Madden and Michaels claimed) was a very fast defense... but a worn out one as well. Collins looked fine when the pocket held (which means the receivers were running their routes well) and Shockey was a bit of a disappointment. But nothing beats the disappointment of staying up to one in the freaking morning to watch your team lose in OT and then roll out of bed at 5:30 wondering WTF did I stay up so late for?

How'bout them Bills? Sure glad I didn't bet on the Tampa game. And the Eagles.... yikes!
