Summer travel and cigar survival....Advice needed

Just read fatshotbud's exploding cigar story, and now I'm concerned. This is my first summer as a cigar freak and I hadn't thought too much about problems one might encounter travelling with cigars.
Since it's usually very dry in Arizona, the only problem I've had so far has been the cigar drying out a bit and the wrapper getting somewhat loose. This is after being in the sun a while and the travel humi getting hot while golfing.
I've got a few road trips planned, to areas of higher RH, along with a few plane rides expected. What should I watch out for?
Please help save my Habanos from an premature death!
