Is It Me Or Does BOXING Just Blow Anymore....
I used to be a hugh fight fan.
But over the past few years I find myself not even caring to go to or even watch boxing on television anymore. If it is on, I will watch it but I no longer make an event out of it like I used to do. Boxing is becoming more like professional wrestling than a true sport of men. It seems to me that the overwhelming majority of fights are over hyped and/or over matched. Or even worse, when we all can watch a fight and know that one guy has dominated a fight only to see him lose it in a split decision because of some moronic scoring by an idiot judge. Realistic ways to make boxing better: My biggest change that I would mandate if I had the power would be the posting of scores immediately after each round. Boxing is the only sport where the participants have no idea what the score is until the match is over I would also love to see all matches where the total purse is a winner take all (or at the very least a 75/25% split). Finally, I would like to see the rankings actually mean something. If you are the number one contender than you should be guaranteed the next fight against the Champion. Am I alone on this one or does... Anyone else feel as frustrated as me Does anyone else have something that they would do to make boxing the great sport it once was
