Anything special required for a first Smoke from a Meerschaum?

Anything special required for a first Smoke from a Meerschaum?
Or anything special in general when it comes to smoking out of one after the first bowl?

If I get the clearance from my pulmonologist appointment today, I will be done with everything the surgeon wanted before doing my shoulder replacement surgery, so figure having my first Smoke out of my new Meerschaum is in order as a celebration, and plan to take my first puck out that's been in the press for six days and Smoke some in the Meerschaum, so it will be 2 special firsts.

Any information you feel I should know about Meerschaums is very welcome. Doesn't have to just be about a first Smoke out of one, just anything you think I should know, or interesting factoids.
