Only the Gulf guys will even remember

Johnny Fasullo on WWOZ. Every time I hear Zydeco, I immediately think of him. He died shortly after his mother (of whom he was a caretaker of) in November 2005.

I have several recordings of his Sunday morning shows. Talking up acts at the Rock 'N Bowl. That was a 3 story music venue made out of a bowling alley. So quintessentially New Orleans. Each floor was a different style of music. The basement was zydeco.

'Cause Johnny can't dance!

If you need a reference point, think about the assistant coach played by Blake Clarke in The Waterboy. He mixed Cajun French and English so much that sometimes you couldn't understand a damned thing he said. But extremely enthusiastic.

I need to dig those old cassettes and play them again. It was a very unique radio program.

Free speech is free speech is free speech. There is no qualifier.

If you aren't outraged, you aren't paying attention.

Never attribute malice to that what can be explained as stupidity.

Unborn lives matter too.
