IPCPR18 #2 Cohiba Macassar Toro
This is a well constructed cigar with a nice medium brown wrapper. The bunch is firm and the cold draw is a bit tight. Tonight’s beverage is a cold Topo Chico.
This is a very solid medium bodied cigar with some subtle spice and leather in the flavor blend. The burn is very even. The first third is much the same. There’s little complexity to this cigar, although it is a pleasant smoke. It continues to burn evenly. During the second third the cigar remains consistent with a very smooth retrohale. This is a medium bodied cigar. The burn remains even. Approaching the final inch there is nothing special to set this cigar apart from most of the non-Cuban Cohibas. It is very consistent in its flavor profile. The construction is excellent, but there is nothing that distinguishes this smoke from similar brands save the elevated price point. 7.75/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
