Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut / Petit Corona
Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut
Petit Corona 44 X 4-1/2" The presentation of this cigar is certainly world class. The Connecticut shade wrapper was flawless, with a beautiful light brown color. The bands were expertly applied with no mismatch on the wrap or oozed glue. The look of this cigar spoke "Class", it really was a gorgeous looking smoke. The cigar clipped clean. The prelight draw was free with a light straw taste. Overall construction was solid. The cigar lit easily and produced a good volume of smoke. The burn was dead-on straight. The smoke was VERY mild, too mild for my tastes. The flavor was light hayish, grassy profile with just a bit of toastiness. Very smooth and clean smoke. The profile remained the same for entire smoke. The only detraction was a bitterness that developed on the finish after the midpoint. Overall, the flavor of this cigar was ho-hum. While there was little technically bad, there was nothing here at all for the seasoned smoker. I couldn't even recommend it for a light morning smoke. Perhaps a good first smoke for someone venturing into the world of cigars. Also, due to its classy look, a good hand-out cigar at special events as something the occasional smoker may enjoy. Due to its lack of flavor and price tag, this cigar gets the bsk thumbs down. |
