Alfredo's Selection Belicoso

In honor of my birthday, today I decided to smoke an Alfredo's custom belicoso that I have been holding on to for about 5 years or so.

It has been so long that I had forgotten just how good these were! I haven't heard anything in a long time about how good the more current production of Alfredo's customs are, but this one was just about perfect, from the oiliest of wrappers to the flawless construction to the impeccable and impossible array of flavours. It started out relatively mild with a slightly savory and woody character which turned to coffee and cream and teasingly moved through a perfect progression of flavors and strength ending in a rather robust spicy crescendo. I was amazed at the way that this vitola seemed to possess at different points in it's journey to my fingertips the best qualities of many different brands and satisfy in so many different ways.

Another one to remember!
