Chateau Real review (Better late than never!)
Thanks to Steve's unbelievable show of generosity in the thread i posted a while back regarding mild cigars I (and a host of my fellow BOTLs) were able to give Chateau Real a try. It's a disgrace that I'm so late chiming in, but here we are--my notes failed to distinguish any difference in the two vitolas Steve sent out but here are my general impressions:
These sticks were stunning in appearance, flawless wrapper, beautiful uniform color. Draw was perfect, or as close to as i've ever seen, even the one i smoked the day I got it. Burn was good enough, I've never been a stickler for that, but these didn't require touchup or relight. I fear I'm in love with the flavor these have; A creamy toasty affair with a nutty or sweet note breaking through now and then accompanied by a lovely rich smoke. Steve- I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. Now just to find a B&M that carries them Additionally, THANK YOU! |
