Another release from Sazerac in their series of limited bottlings. This one was bottled a barrel proof: 132.7. Yow. I'm not much on the "leather and lace" descriptions but I will say that it is my favorite of all of the bottlings I have tasted, and that includes several versions of the Stagg. Huge, rich whiskey that benefits from a dab of water -- at which point it is recognizably Sazerac Rye. The distinctive flavor that is so apparent in the baby 6 y.o. is pervasive here along with all sorts of other flavors swirling around in the mouth.

Could be hard to find. I got mine from Binnys, but a buddy scooped up three bottles from them as well. Not at all sure how many are in the pipe.
