I have had a soft spot for the Red Sox for decades, but with ESPN fanboys for the last almost 20, it sort of took off the luster for me. What a team of hitters, though, and away from Fenway Park!

There were not "gimmes" in this playoff run, the Astros are a GREAT team. The Dodgers are a great team. My younger son is a Dodgers' fan, and we are not certain, why. I guess he really likes their players, I know he loves Justin Turner. I would like to see Clayton Kershaw get a ring, though.

Sale as a closer? Stuff like that happens every World Series, especially two nights after an 18 inning classic. How many storylines have there been in World Series history of starters pitching on short or very short rest, going out to the bull pen to get a couple hitters, and what have you?
