I have been using a igloodor for a week or so now and the humidity is doing fine. But the last day or so when I open it there is a very strong fumy or chemical smell. I am using floral foam and 50/50 solution. I emptied the cooler and wiped the inside down with distilled water and let air dry. The odor was collecting in the humidifier foam. I made up another humidifier and set everything back in the cooler. I am now noticing the odor again, although it is not as strong. I’m thinking that maybe I haven’t got all the plastic smell removed from the cooler yet. I am going to try rewashing it and airing it out again. Does any of this sound familiar to any of you?
