There's a show called Healy's Place on Netflix. It's a live performance at his Nashville nightclub shortly before he died. Check it out.

I was introduced to his work in the late 80s. I remain very impressed.

Stevie Ray is my ultimate guitar hero. Healy is a close second. Unfortunately for us, they are both gone. I was fortunate to see Howlin' Wolf open for an acoustic set for Warren Zevon at Citystages in Birmingham in my youth. Turns out that the Roxy Music reunion tour landed in Atlanta (and, yes, I drove up from New Orleans to attend) and what turned out to be Leonard Cohen's final tour were the best live performances I ever attended. Saw so many legendary performances at that venue (including James Brown in his last tour). I've been picking my brain over bands I would seek in these ticket premiums.

The only three I have come up with are Yes, The Who, and Pink Floyd. I've seen about all of the others I ever wanted to.

I guess I can die now.

been listening to a lot of Alicia De Larrocha, Spanish pianist. Hard to imagine how someone under 5 feet could have the hand size to play some classical pieces.

Her Mozart 19th is, as a pretentious windbag might say, a revelation.

I fell upon some of her recordings in a second hand bookstore. best 3 bucks I have spent of late, 4 CDs, mostly her playing De Falla and other Spanish composers, but some Beethoven as well
