Felix Assouline Ego Black Perfecto
This cigar has a very smooth Habano color wrapper that tapers at the foot. It is firmly box pressed. The bunch feels a little hard but the cold draw is perfect. This morning’s beverage is a cold pressed Chameleon mocha latte.
The cigar starts with earthy/nutty/oak flavors. The draw is perfect. The retrohale is mostly smooth with a bit of black pepper. In the first third the flavor profile remains mostly even. A very smooth and pleasant complexity. Once past the taper of the foot the burn is very even. During the second third some savory spices add a light sweetness to the flavor profile. The smoke is very smooth and thick. The burn remains very even. Approaching the final inch the complexity of flavors remains excellent. The construction of the cigar is also excellent. This is a very good medium bodied cigar. 9.5/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
