What a fun read and seeing posts from all time CW greats who haven't been around for a while.
To the topic, I haven't watched any of the games, I've just read the sports page, but it sounds like it has been great. Sorry to see Altuve get hurt though.

I am sorry to see that, as well. American fans and press are pissing and moaning about this being a worthless exhibition and a distraction, what have you. Mets' fans are apoplectic that one of theirs got hurt. However, the players, especially the non-U.S. citizens, are jacked up for this competition and the opportunity to represent their homelands as soccer players do for the World Cup.
I am sorry, also, that I didn't pay much closer attention before last week. I'm so down on MLB and Rob Manfred, and so many of the changes that have happened in the game the last few years. I loved baseball for so long, and they continue to screw it up to try and lure in fans who aren't interested in baseball to begin with.
