David Alan Coe Live.
The 1st of my 3 day concert binge began last night with David Alan Coe.
Great Show!. There were 2 local bands opening up. Sycosis and Monoxide Project. Both were hardrock/metal bands. Monoxide Project were by far the best of the 2. Both the singer and the bands sound reminded me a lot of Soundgarden. The lead singer was close to Chris Cornell in power and range but missing just a bit. Now onto David Alan Coe. 1st off, I am not a country music fan but I have heard enough about DAC to spark my intrest in seeing him live. I didn't want to pass up the chance to see a legend in concert even if he was a country musician. The man is 68yrs old and put on a great show. He only stopped three times between songs to chat with the audience about the music. Each song went right into the next, never stopping for a note. All were linked by theme telling a story that continued from song to song. Not all the songs performed were his either. It was a great concept linking these songs not written together but put together to tell a larger story. I only have an outsiders knowledge of DAC music. I know he has performed and written some great songs I just can't tell you what they are. Sorry I can't post a set list or state which hits he sang but I can tell you if he comes near your town go see him. ![]() ![]() ![]()
