Post and Rate your humidor(s)
Browsing the threads and noticing a consitent question - what humidor?
How about we each post our humidor, what we paid for it and where we bought it (if you desire), likes/dislikes. What do you think? I'll start: Humidor #1 I got the "Presidente" off of CigarBid for $56 + shipping which I think was a good deal: Link In it I have 65% beads in an aluminum humidifier Likes: It was very cheap! It works well as my "dry box" Holds humidity pretty well I like the glass top for "displaying the wares", put my favorites on top to oogle. Overall suits it's purpose very well Dislikes: The hygrometer is worthless, doesn't even move, permantly stuck on 70. And no real way to replace it, it's embedded. The key/lock assembly is very cheap and I'm worried it's going to break someday. Made in China... Oh, and it's too small Humidor #2 Actually it's just an igloo cooler, picked up on sale at Kohl's for $12 I think. Can't remember how many quarts it has - maybe 70? Has 70% beads in it in a beadsock. Likes: Ultra-cheap storage Great for long-term storage. At least I've been told That's about it... Dislikes: It's a cooler - loss of style points Humidor #3 A small "lunch box" sized cooler where I keep my flavoured cigars for the ladies at work. Has 70% beads in a pyrex dish with cheesecloth rubber banded around the top. Likes: Ultra-cheap storage Keeps the stinkies separate Dislikes: It's a cooler - loss of style points Will post pics later |
