The guys at stone hill are talented. They do focus on sweet like concord and catawba, though, so I don't drink their products. The stone hill wines are a huge step up from the new york state wines of the same types. My brother in law loves the school house and the riverboat, iirc.
They bottle a norton that I tried once, and that was the most robust and wonderful red I've had, probably. It was also a few bucks more than I like to spend. Tommy, I have a niece who doesn't get it that I drink, especially that I will feed alcohol into coffee sometimes. I tried to explain to her about how the alcohol carries the aromas into your sinuses, and allows you to more fully experience whatever it is you are drinking or eating, and realized that she slept through most of her science classes. |

I'm the opposite of Doug, I still haven't learned to love the fire
Picked up 43 at Dorignac's in Metairie, $35.00 a bottle, but it's a big bottle. Also picked up a bottle of Sandeman Armada sherry. Guy working the department thought I had picked up Dry Sack, but was impressed, said that Sandeman's sherry house is even older than their Port house.

May have to try the 43 over one cube of ice, it's delicious, but damn, lots-o-fire.
