Nice
I love his Cigar Nexus website. I used to use that, and sometimes still do, to make choices of smokes to try Glad it is still up and running with the old information |

I thought he had left the cigar business and was working for Drew Estates.

The reports of my demise are greatly over exagerrated... <snicker>
And thanks for the kind words regarding the article, I am proud of the piece and I thank Lew and the CM crew for again allowing me the space to publish it. As with the Mexico article, no cigar magazine that I know of would print such a technical article of such length and depth. While I am a firm believer in the intelligence of readers, most advertisers of today's publications doubt it. They see the meteoric success of magazines that focus on 250 word blurbs and it is hard for them to believe that many readers would read, much less enjoy 9,000 words on the origin of cigar tobacco and its varietals. Most advertisers cringe when they find their ad buried between the pages of such a lengthy piece. You can't blame them, but that is why it is extra important for people who appreciate these type of "heavy-info" articles to voice their opinions. It let's the advertisers and editors both see that their customers welcome such works and encourages the future publication of other such pieces by "boring" authors such as myself. Much thanks to everyone who has commented. I am humbled by praise and am genuinely glad the article has been so well received. BR, STS |

The last time one of them was left roaming free, he saved a cute fuzzy little squirrel by vaporizing a Hummer. (I don't think that there ever was a Squirrel, I think that he just hates Hummers.) |
