Wet humidor, dry cigars?....y'all ain't gonna believe this u

Yeah, my RH is reading at 68-70%, I've salt tested the hygro, and compared it to a digital--same readings, but my cigars are still crinkly (sp?) when I roll them between my fingers. The ends are usually spongy, though.

Any ideas? Thanks.

UPDATE:

I just shifted everything around, and RH jumped from 70 to 80%. The smokes are finally soaking up some water, so much less crinkling. I finally have circulation.
