In my desktop I use a small cap off a bottle with water in it setting next to the beads. It's kept steady for 6 months.

In my big storage units I place a small tupperware with water in when it starts to drop. The big plastic storage boxes dont seem to loose that much humidity. I have a 60 qt container that used less than a pint in the last 6 months.
