Gettysburg-Humidification?

Thinking about picking one up; for those who have one, do you use active or passive humidification? I like mine drier, and am thinking the Oasis would be overkill...
Thanks in advance!

Oasis in my Vicksburg. Set it and forget it. Consistently holds 65% humidity. This can be regulated also.

I put an oasis in my Gettysburg and it was overkill. I use the passive humidifier brick it came with, but I think beads would be the best bet.

Also, get the Vicksburg if you can stretch the budget. The Gettysburg turned out to be smaller than I hoped. It is still a nice unit.

Good luck.

I had a gettsburg with the Oaisis. Way way overkill. Beads did it for me, Joe. I have a Antietum, and I use 2 lbs. of beads in that, bundled up in stockings and spread around the box. I just don't like the Oasis for some reason.

I also have a Vicksburg and have found that the passive foam reservoir (with 50/50) works perfectly.

Good advice there. Just a bit more money and a lot more storage.
