Mold and Older Cigars

Yesterday, I pulled out a ten month old stick from my humidor. It was the oldest one I have (and I know that is nothing compared to many of you).....Montecristo Jambo Jambo. On (actually in) the foot, there was a small area of white fuzz that I interpreteted to be mold. None on any of my other sticks. My humidor never gets above 70% humidity. Just wondering, with the daily opening and closing of my cabinet humidor, with mold spores in the air (this is TX and there are mold spores aplenty), that maybe older sticks are more prone to mold??? Does mold occur in conditions where the humidity is not excessive?
