Internet radio
Is it just me or is this the greatest thing since fm was created? Non commercial and you pick the format. Hot damn!

Indeed... tho they almost killed it off with legislation!
Any particular favorites Clancy? I'm a big blues fan, so ParaDynamic Roadhouse and Mojo Radio are in heavy rotation on my playlist, but I listen to a bit of everything!

i'm kinda new to internet radio, but i do listen to Real One Radio. it's the only place i've found that broadcasts KCSM, which is the best jazz station that i've ever heard.

There's some decent stations out there. Somebody mentioned Real One - I hate Real, but that package does have KPIG, the greatest independant radio station that ever was.
I listen to KCRW, ACRN, Radio Paradise, WDVX.com, and WYEP.org. It all depends on the mood. I prefer to use WinAmps radio stations, but will use Real when I have to. The only thing I don't like about Spinner and some of the others, is they pigeonhole you into such narrow genres, you don't have a chance to experience other things. There's such a lot of good music of all kinds out there, I want to hear it all! That's what's great about KPIG and RadioParadise, you can go from rock to country to blues to jazz. Great mix. |
