Crispy cubans - please help

Hi guys,

Brace yourselves, this could be a long post !

Firstly i would like to say that i live in the UK so there are no Cuban issues over here.

Right, My cuban cigars are crispy when i do the 'rolling test' between my fingers. The humidity in my Humidor is 63-65 degrees and the temp is around 68 F. I have been trying to raise the humidity within my humidor to get a bit more moisture in the cigars but this is not working. I have tried this by using a second (smaller) humidifier as well as my paradigm humidifier in the humidor but this is making no difference. Should it?

Should i get some beads? If so, how will these help? My only concern with the beads is that my humidor fits 50 cigars and it is fairly full so i have no room to spread out the beads.......

To cut through the cr*p, want i really need to know is the following:

1. Are my cigars ruined. They are not tasting very good at present......

2. How do i reguilate my humidor better? is there any product available that will garuntee the humidity it says it will maintain? The Paradigm said it that it garuntees to get a humidity of 70 degrees. Obviously this isn't the case......

Your thoughts and guidance would be much appreciated here guys.

Many thanks

Mark
