First time using beads, does this look right?

pictures here

So, I'm a first-time beads user. I gutted a bargainhumidors cigar reservoir of its florist foam, and filled it with 1/2 lb of the 70% beads. After popping the cover back on, I wasn't sure whether this container is going to have enough surface area for the beads, since it's pretty deep. Does this look alright for a 48qt coolerdor? I replaced a florist foam humidifier in a full cooler with it, and the humidity seems to be climbing, so it's performing about how I would expect, I just wanted a second opinion. I haven't added any distilled water to the beads, since I'm pretty sure they come ready to use. Any opinions?
