It's OFFICIAL.....Lebron a CAV
tonight was probably the most bittersweet event in present sports. The NBA held it's draft lottery and the Cleveland Cavs got the first selection in this years upcoming draft, and the rights to HS PHENOM Lebron(it's my Hummer) James. This was a bittersweet moment in Cleveland sports history. Yes, Lebron should be the best NBA player in the years to come, however, he is just a high school boy in a mans body. Along with this the Cavs should increase season ticket sales by atleast 70-80%,helping a dismal franchise. Now the down side of getting the #1 pick:
1) Lebron, yet he may be good,it will take time to get to understand the professional game. 2) instant fame and $...$100 mil from Nike and Upper Deck combined,$75 Mil from the Cavs. REMEMBER HE's ONLY 18 and his mother lives in section 8 housing and he has a Hummer to payoff. 3) with the Cavs getting a pick within the top 3 of this years draft ensures that Gordon Gund will keep the team and present management. This guy won't even go out and spend a dime if you even promised to return him a quarter. Coaches note, look for the Cavs to probably name Jeff VanGundy as their new coach by the end of the week. my $.02 |
