Update: Cabinet humidor project is complete!
The time has finally come! The custom humidor is done and the Accumonitor is running steady and getting it ready. Then I will load it up and empty out my coolers. Thanks for looking!

Looking good
Are you doing this for the fun of it, trying to build one cheaper than the major manufacturers, or doing a custom job (like the granite top)? |

The main reason I am doing it is to have a totally custom piece and I get to have a say in every detail. As the process has gone on I have learned so much about humidor construction. It has been a great learning experience and has added to the enjoyment of my hobby. I am not going to save money by going this route but it is going to be a piece to pass down for generations. The biggest bonus has been I have a great friend I would have otherwise not met. I was introduced to the builder/artist by a mutual friend who is also a craftsman in a different medium. As the project has progressed we have shared ideas, access to materials (I work in the lumber industry), and now cigars.

Excellent!
I especially like the idea of the inlay on the top... Another place to put a drink.

Hamma, looks great. What wood did you decide to use and are you going with solid wood.
