I keep all my open tobacco in canning jars. The tobacco ages well and never loses any moisture.
I should add that a retired former colleague of mine is addicted to gefilte fish and buys it in very large jars. When he's done with the jars, I very carefully sterilize both the jar and the cover and am able to store over a pound of bulk tobacco in each jar. You must be very careful about cleaning the jars until they have no residual aroma of the gefilte fish or your tobacco will require a side of horseradish. |
