My father #4 lancero

My 1st from the My Father line.

I’m not sure why I chose the Lancero (#4) but I do really like the size. This one draws perfect . Small bit of resistance, just the way I like it. Got this thing lit and was met with loads of complex flavors right on the 1st puff. Sweet, cocoa, coffee, mild pepper and probably lots more but I wasn’t ready for the flavor explosion right off the bat.

2” in and this is a very smooth cigar with loads of complexity. Sweet spice and a wood note has been added to the mix. Not much coffee right about now and the aroma also has a sweetness to it. Very plesent. Loads of smoke too. Perfect burn. Retro is a mild smooth sweet cedar . A very nice medium bodied smoke thus far. Ash is a nice gray with some darker streaks running through it.

1/3 in. Smoke output is excellent. Burn is not perfect but close enough. Aroma is a smooth wood. Very nice. Rich and complex. Retro is the same sweet cedar and very smooth.

A little past 1/2 way and flavors are cedar, spice, mild nuttiness. Nice smooth and complex still. Retro is a smooth wood or maybe mild nut.

Last 3rd I had to relight. My fault. I let it sit too long. Anyway, Sweet, salty, nutty, mild spice. Some wood notes in there as well. Retro is a medium pepper. Still a very complex cigar.

The finish on this was excellent. More pepper, spice, slight saltiness, More wood as well. Complex right to the last puff and burn was perfect when I laid it down as well. I bought these last July so right at the one year mark.
Cigar page says this is 94 rated. Going to agree with them on this one. Very good smoke. 10-12 bucks a stick and I think it sets a really nice standard to judge other sticks in the same price range. Well worth the money so anything else in this price range needs to meet this standard at a minimum for me.
