Build a humidor?
Anyone have experience with this?
http://www.azwoodman.com/humidor.html If nothing else I'm thinking of ordering some of the cedar to make trays for my cooler-dor

I'm building two right now. One from Quartersawn Oak, the other from Maple.

With the right equipment it shouldn’t too hard to complete. But with my experience of being on this forum, you might want to build yourself a “BIG” box for ageing and blowing your budget

They keep getting larger. They never seem to provide enough space! If you're careful and have some woodworking experience, then constructing your own from scratch is the way to go. This offers you maximum flexibility in terms of the size and design. Your local wood/hardware specialist should be able to provide all of the necessary components. And this way, you get to choose exactly what kinds of wood to use without being dependent on someone else's idea of what your humidor should look like. My most recent one is a table-top one fashioned from thick-gauge Bolivian rosewood, lined with Spanish cedar as well as mahogany and fitted with a smoked glass inset in the lid so I can peruse my 'gars and hygrometer without having to open the lid. Hope you decide to take the plunge.

I've built several from plans. They are good! My best advice would be to double check all measurements. They make mistakes on them sometimes. You will need at minimum, a table or radial arm saw. And a router. Maybe a drill press. I'm currently working on a simple maple desktop.
