In many cases, yes. In fact, some blends will taste even better when you've let them sit for awhile and then fire 'em up again. It's called DGT (Delayed Gratification Techinique).

I find straight Virginias are best for this ... IMO. English blends are OK ... and aromatics are a mixed bag.
