New cigars purchased this year 2016
I have had many new (to me) cigars this year, here is my list:
From cigarking.com La Palina Classic Toro - meh, mild and boring My Father La Antiguedad Corona Grande - good, but not really to my tast though Caldwell The King is Dead Diamond Girl - very good, box worthy Caldwell Long Live the King The Heater - good, I like other Caldwells better Caldwell Eastern Standard Euro Express - good, I like other Caldwells better Cubanacan Maduro Chatos - meh, though some were pretty good, very inconsistent, had the potential of being a really good value cigar IMO From smallbatchcigar.com Caldwell Eastern Standard Marble House - excellent, a favorite Sobremesa Cervantes Fino - good, but not to my taste Warped Corto X50 - very good, box worthy Caldwell Eastern Standard Silk Road - good, but I like other Caldwells better La Imperiosa Corona Gorda - good, but not to my taste Warped Flor del Valle Cristales - excellent, a favorite Warped La Colmena Amado No. 44 - had potential to be a great cigar, but all 5 samples had a hard to impossible draw Warped Corto X46 - very good, box worthy Warped Flor del Valle Gran Valle - good, but I like other Warped cigars better Chogui Dos77 Longsdale - very good, box worthy Warped Maestro del Tiempo 5205, very good, box worthy Caldwell Eastern Standard Midnight Express Corona - very good, a favorite Caldwell Signature Corona - good mild cigar, not to my taste Casa Fernandez Guardian of the Farm Apollo Seleccion de Warped - excellent, a favorite La Flor Dominicana La Nox Petit Corona - was really looking forward to this one, meh Casa Fernandez Miami Aniversario 2015 Lancero - first one was ok, second one was good, will need to revisit after some more humidor time Casa Fernandez Aganorsa Leaf Tabsa Aficion No. 2 - it was ok, straightforward tobacco flavor with some bitterness Illusione Singulare Kadosh - another one I was really looking forward to, meh, bland Warped El Oso Papa - looking forward to trying this one, will report back HR Claro Rothschild - looking forward to trying this one, will report back HR Corona - really looking forward to trying this one considering how good the Robusto is Warped La Colmena Reina - looking forward to trying this one, will report back Chogui Papa Chogui Corona Gorda - looking forward to trying this one, will report back Warped Villa Sombra Mojitos - ok, wouldn't buy again Warped La Hacienda Superiores - good, but the Flor del Valle Cristales are SO much better Warped Maestro del Tiempo 6102R LE - good, but the 5205 is much better Cornelius Corona Gorda - ok, not to my taste From coronacigar.com Warped Flor del Valle Sky Flower - excellent, a favorite Warped La Colmena Lirio Rojo - very good, but I like other Warped cigars better Warped Flor del Valle Sky Flower Exclusivo - very disappointed with this one considering how good the original Sky Flower is and the price, meh From smokeinn.com La Palina Illumunation Colonial - good, but I like the El Diario KBII better, actually tastes similar Mi Querida Fino Larga - very good Sobremesa Short Churchill - excellent, a favorite From atlanticcigar.com La Palina Nicaragua Oscuro Toro - looking forward to trying this one, will report back La Palina El Ano 1896 Oscuro Toro - looking forward to trying this one, will report back La Palina Nicaragua Connecticut Toro - nice mild cigar, medium body/flavors, good morning smoke Casa Fernandez Sabor Aganorsa Corona Corojo - nice medium cigar, good morning smoke Casa Fernandez Sabor Aganorsa Corona Maduro - looking forward to trying this one, will report back I know that I've had a few others from B&Ms that I can't remember other than these: Davidoff Nicaragua Escurio Robusto Tubo - this should have been an excellent cigar especially considering the price, very disappointed in how bland it was Davidoff Puro d'Oro Deliciosos and Notables - see above Davidoff Winston Churchill Petit Corona - good, not to my taste, surprised because of how much I enjoyed the original Winston Churchills from several years ago Very nice to see several manufacturers putting out corona/Lonsdale category sizes these days. As you can see, I am a sucker for any corona size cigar (corona, petit corona, corona gorda, Lonsdale, etc.) Happy new year all! ak

La Palina El Ano 1896 Oscuro Toro - This should have been a great cigar considering how good their other "special" release offerings have been over the years. However, the two samples that I had both had a very hard draw, so much so that it was near impossible to get any smoke from either. Personally, I don't bother trying much more than a few minutes on a cigar with bad draw, just toss it and grab another. I gave the second one a week rest in the 'dor before trying. What a shame

La Palina Nicaragua Oscuro Toro - might need some down time, found it straightforward and harsh, will report back in a few months

Casa Fernandez Aganorsa Leaf Tabsa Aficion No. 2 - well a few weeks in the 'dor has done wonders for this cigar, nice smooth tobacco flavor and the bitterness has gone. Still just an ok smoke, nothing special

P.S. The purpose of this thread was to open discussion on new cigars tried by members last year. I know a few of you do formal reviews, but many of us don't, hence this thread.

I added coolers, which tells me I bought too many
favorites were La Palina and Matilde.
