LOR opens the bomb-bay

and drops a nice assortment of pipe tobaccos on me to try with my new pipe. Thank you very much, my brother.

Welcome Jeff. Enjoy them and let everyone here know what you think. Maybe this board will get a little kick-start as a result.

Nice job LOR!

My question is this: When sending out a sample of pipe tobacco to someone, how do you package it and how much do you send a few bowls?

What I did was just grab a 2 or 3 bowls worth, stick it in a plastic bag and label it with a sticker to seal the bag. Pop it in an envelope and that's it.

jeff: I'll bring a sample of what I smoke to the next herf. I know it might be a bit of a drive, but there is a tobacco shop in San Marcos called "Hill Country Humidor" where he has a lot of different tins of tobacco opened that you can sample all you want. The owner is very nice and you will likely leave there with a new pipe because he has a ton to choose from.

Still waiting on the replacement for the meerschuam that caught fire...

LOR, I will definitely give you "reviews" on the bowl-fulls you sent.
