Ezra Brooks 12 year
replaces the 15 year old EB... at 49 a bottle a pretty good value by today's prices... very heaven hill, reminds me of Elijah Craig some (and EC 12 year is no longer being made)
sweet on the start, toffee and butter on the finish, peppers and some citrus I long for the pre boom bourbon days...

You bourbon drinkers will never have to worry about me depleting the supply and driving up the price.
In reciprocation, I would appreciate your not buying single malt scotch for the same reason. Thank you.

Ezra is a good bourbon. But I had no idea that it had gotten to that price point, Not worth it IMO

Elijah Craig 12 can still be found in the large 1.75 liter bottles in some stores. The un dated version is a pretty good measure up against the age statement version, IMHO. very smooth. I've not seen the Ezra here. Some stores have had "very old ezra" a 10 year age statement (if I remember) on the bottle, but I find just the regular cheap ezra brooks to be one of the best under 25$ 1.75$ bottles around.

I bought the last 2 12 yo EC in the 1.75L size in South Bend a while back... had the '12' in the center of the front label. The replacement bottles have no age statement.

Guess I'm lucky that the Elijah Craig 1.75's don't sell so fast here? I just saw one on the shelf with the big bold 12 tuesday...

I snagged 2 large AAA bottles recently. Unlike the re-blended Elijah, it's not the same IMHO.
