I know that the connecticut shade from hatsa/cofradia were almost always made with a broadleaf maduro binder. They were very different from the rest of the connecticut that you would find with other binders such as mexican. I think that you could get a connecticut shade wrapper that has enough oomph to stand up to a heavy blend and still come through.
