After much research, and auditioning different receivers. I decided on the Denon 3802. I had my eye on the 3803, but a local stereo shop gave me an incredible deal on the 3802. I could not pass it up.
What a great sounding receiver and a substantial upgrade from my original one (a pioneer). I have been listening to it all weekend, and enjoying my cd collection like never before. Thanks again for all of the advice.  Now if you'll excuse me, I have some music to listen to.
