I just got a box of these in yesterday and took one out to smoke in celebration of my Gators putting an asswhuppin on the Vols. I like to smoke one off the truck to get an idea of their potential.
This batch is from 6/00. It had a beautiful colorado wrapper with very light veining. It clipped perfectly and the pre-light draw was good considering my vendor overhumidifies. It lit evenly and maintained an even burn until I nubbed it. Smoke volume was thick throughout the smoke. As to flavor, It started out smooth with hint's of café con leché, chocolate, and that good Cuban twang. It stayed that way for about 1/3 of the smoke, and then the classic strong Cuban flavors kicked in! It stayed smooth, but with a lot of power. there was never any bitterness or harshness throughout. IMHO, a great 1.5 hr habano! Edited by - elzorro1955 on 09/22/2002 10:57:27 AM Edited by - elzorro1955 on 09/22/2002 11:30:01 AM
