 OK: Some possible non-Cuban picks...Carlos Toraño Exodus 1959 Torpedo Perhaps just a little fuller bodied than ideal, but with a "beautifully moderated herbaceousness" that develops a "lovely bittersweet tingle." Montecristo Serie V Mini Belicoso Displays "drier overtones of cedar... and country grass" as well as "assorted woods and spices." The "ebb and flow between subtle dryness and demure sweetness" should parallel the Aberlour's flavours quite well. Perdomo Reserve La Tradicion Cabinet Series Champagne Robusto Here, the core tobacco flavour feels "refreshing and lush all at once," and there's also a "lively chocolate-mint leave characteristic" through the opening stages. Sounds like a good match to me.
