New Shipping Rates at JR Cigars
JR lowered it's shipping rates for the month of May 1/2 price to $4.50 per order..............I guess that $9.00 shipping rate wasn't working.

He does whatever he can to draw you into his website. This is just another example, and I happen to like this one.

Maybe it's a test to see if sales increase based on the lower shipping charges. Everyone, take one for the team.

After years of saying there is no way there is any pre-embargo cuban leaf left they're now selling Havana Blend cigars which ae supposed to have some of the magic 1959 Havana tobacco.

Those cigars are made by the Finck cigar company in San Antonio. They have been out for years. Supposedly bought the leaf from Wally Frank who was supposed to have had some in an old warehouse back in the day.

I'm not questioning whether or not they have Cuban leaf or not. It just seems ironic that after years of bad mouthing those claiming to be made of pre-Castro leaf JRs is now selling them. That's all.

after 20 years of knowing the guy personally instead of it just being a company, and hearing his outspoken thoughts, it's a real jolt seeing him change his mind, so to speak, and see the company go in an incongruous direction. At times like this, I have to grab myself by the shirt, and chant for a few minutes, "it's only a business decision, not signs of the apocalypse." |
