sam adams 13th hour

came in a 750 ml champagne type bottle. chocolate, coffee, burnt caramel, little wood, overall, pretty tasty. No head, no carbonation to speak of. Little tartness, strongly malty. overall, worth the money.

It's supposed to be a belgian, I guess it fits that profile. I liked it in that it was well balanced. no massive hit of hops, not cloyingly malty, tartness to balance the sweetness, stout like flavor notes, it was a very complex brew, without any one aspect being taken to an extreme.
