2013
As the new year approaches i look back on 2013 and i realize that i found a ton of great cigars that were new to me this year. I have to also say i found some astounding deals on excellent cigars by just blindly taking a few leaps of faith.
Over the years i have went from preferring Connecticut shade, then maduro, then habano (whatever that really is) and back to maduro, especially the Connecticut broadleaf. Has anyone had this kind of "taste change" over their smoking career?

Mine certainly has. I much preferred maduro wrappers early on when I started enjoying cigars, now my tastes have changed a bit and I find I prefer the Ecuadorian "natural" wrapper or similar offerings. While I still definitely enjoy a good maduro, I now lean more toward a "spicier" taste.

In addition, I still have a thing for a good Cameroon wrapper. It used to be Cameroon with Dominican filler, now it's more Cameroon with Nicaraguan filler.

I found that in 2013, my new favorite wrapper is the Sumatra.

I started out favoring maduros and I have ended the year the same way.

I have become accustomed to spice and really don't care for anything bland anymore. Now the search is on for spicy nats, habano, etc.

For some reason the Connecticut broadleaf maduro on Tat reservas and DE T52's and now the Nica Rustica have really been hittin the profile for me. I suppose i will change back before long, i did have a double chat. Fuente the other day that was very good, better than i remembered,
Since Jan 1: Tatuaje reservas 7th and Regios Undercrowns Four Kicks JD Howard Reserve T52 (spensive! ) A few others including some bundle stuff. Its a good time to be a cigar smoker IMO
