No offense, but the only great thing to happen to the Flyers would be if Bob Clarke dropped of the radar and turned over that team to a competent GM who doesn't dance when the owner says dance.

I like the makeup of the that team, but he just messes around so much that they can never get into a groove. What has it been, 6 coaches in the last 7 years?

i hope you guys saw the rich sarasm dripping off of that one???

As much as people like to mailighn clark and all he has made some great deals as well as some el stinko bombs, but who hasnt, hmmm definately not the great Glen Sather, there are 2 that do come to mind though, the Guys in Detroit and Colorado, great Gm's I guess its Ken Holland and ???

I hope the flyers got this guy because they have another trade.in Mind.

Detroit has made some bad moves (Uwe Krupp anyone?). Fortunately, they tend to make more good ones.

Pierre Lecroix is the GM for the 'lanche I believe.

Correct, Pierre Lacroix is the GM for Colorado. His son Eric is one of his assistants and is being groomed to be his successor.

I can say that Pierre has done some boneheaded moves in the past, i.e. Theo Fluery for 15 games in the Regular season and sat out most of the playoffs with a "cold". also Kasparitus. He was ok, but didn't really put us anywhere special.

Slats I think is over rated. Everyone talks about the teams from Edmonton, but he really didn't build those, it just kind of fell into his lap.

Holland has made some interesting moves, but the one thing you can say about Lacroix and Holland is that their owners are behind them because they make some smart moves.

PS Didn't mean to get too sarcastic, but I just don't like that guy.

Sorry, didn't mean to rag on your point.

I don't think it is their last move by a long shot, I've been hearing that Bob is looking into Mat Schnieder from LA. I actually think he's made some good trades this year (for once) and that he isn't done yet. I think Snider put a burr under his butt to doing something to help Hitchcock out, to try and balance out the chemistry a little.

I'll say......I'm still trying to figure out why he traded Drury. Morris is a very good d-man, with a lot of upside. But, come-on!!!! Drury is a "big-time" and scary player in the playoffs.

True, but like Claude Lemieux he only showed up during the playoffs. Dru didn't do anything during the regular season the last three years. He had ok numbers, but not what they wanted from a 1st or 2nd line guy. Hell all of those guys are on fire. Morris is a good Dman, but has the potential, learning from Blake, Foote and what is left over of Bourque, to become an elite defenseman. I initially didn't like the trade either, but now that everyone is playing to their potential now, I think it'll work out.

The only bad thing about that trade was that it messed up the chemistry hard. Yeller was an original, and Dru was an up and comer. Luckily they got it back before it was too late.

Watch the game tonight!
