I'm looking for a lighter that is functional (as opposed to pretty), doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and won't make me cry if I lose it. Any suggestions? TIA!

Check out mhotek's site bargainhumidors.com. I got a great Solo Trek for a good price, and it's been working like a dream. Love that dual torch flame!

Like Stumby said try Mike (mhotek) at Bargain Humiders, great selection, prices and service. You won't be sorry.

I agree with the above comments. I believe when i looked at the advertising on the solo at Bargain Humidors, it mentioned it had a lifetime gurantee. I would like 2 of the solo brands, great prices.

Ok as usual, I will be different. Go get you a Zippo. Yep, thats right. I have a boxful of torch lighters that won't work for hell... reach in my pocket, 1 zip, cigar lit. End of story.
Now before all of ya'll start ranting about the oil 'taste'-I don't taste it- you may, and that's fine. To each his own, as we say. But I can tell you this, I see many seasoned smokers go through the whole torch thing, and end up with Zippos. Just my .02....

I'd like to see Vector do the same thing. It's called stepping up and taking care of your customers by guaranteeing a high quality product. But, that is next month's battle.

I would have to agree on the $5/lighter blazer knockoffs. I bought 5 of them about 3 years ago. Two were crap and the other 3 have been running fine ever since I got them. You just need to make sure you purge them before refilling. These lighters would really fit your requirements.

Thanks guys; I'm leaning more towards the Solo Trek (although the Zippos are tempting, too). Will be visiting mhotek's site soon. Thanks for the pointers!!
