WOW! Fantastic! It is hard enough to do a Zep song, but to stay so true to the original is a huge task. Congrats to them for this.

Bump, because I watched this again today for some reason. I changed the upload that's now the full version, so the guitar solo isn't messed up.

Honestly, I like this guy's version as well as the original. Sacrilege, but oh well...

When the mood strikes me I'll sit on the deck with a cigar and a cocktail, and watch rock videos of favorite old songs. This Heart cover of Stairway to Heaven is in my regular rotation.

Nicks was always a much better songwriter than vocalist.

Stevie Nicks is one of those people who "can't sing", but for some reason sounds good doing it. Like Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, etc...

Someone will try to include Bob Dylan, but no. He can't sing and doesn't sound good doing it.

Agreed! Stevie Nicks had a decent solo career apart from Fleetwood Mac. I own her greatest hits CD and enjoy it. She also was a pretty good song writer, but not as good as Christine Perfect McVie, who was a comparable singer IMO.

I saw Heart in 1987 and they closed the show with Zep's Rock and Roll.

On a related note, if you are a Zep fan, check out Get The Led Out. I've seen them a dozen times and they are fantastic. No wigs or dragon pants, just a recreation of the studio music note for note. Sometimes with up to six musicians on the stage at any one time. They are based in Philly but tour nationally.
