I had what I believe is the P6 tonight (thanks westsideelectric!). It was about 6" x 50. Shape was a figurado: rounded at the end you clip and puckered at the end you light, like a Hemingway Classic/Signature/Masterpiece.
The wrapper was a pretty light brown with fine veining. My particular stick was somewhat underfilled and got soft towards the end. As a result, draw was easy. The cigar burnt very evenly, with no touch-ups necessary. However, I did have to expend some effort to get it to start evenly, as seems to be the wont with puckered figurados. I had expected, based on earlier reviews, a robust complex smoke, like a Sun Grown Dominican. However, to my tastebuds, this is a light-bodied, somewhat less than complex smoke in the vein of Macanudo (I'm not trying to damn it with faint praise, just trying to calls as I sees it; Macanudos, as we all know, sell like hot cakes). I'd say it's lighter than the African Fuertes and certainly nowhere near the power of the Maduro Fuertes. It's nice enough but perhaps not quite suited to the habitual ISOM smoker or those into medium to heavy sticks. Edited by - mingc on 11/22/2002 12:13:28 AM
