Someone told me once that Jimi's favorite guitarist was the guy in Moving Sidewalks.

Ever hear that? (May not be true.)

(If so--that guy was Billy Gibbons. Tush, Heard It On The X, Pearl Necklace, and most anything from Deguello.)

Danny Gatton was pretty good.

I trust Zappa's been mentioned previously.

Yep!
That is true....

During his Texas tours, he would hook up with Gibbons and jam. He traded Billy a Fender guitar for a Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face pedal. Billy still has his guitar.

Jimi also loved Terry Kath (Chicago), guitar playing and Rory Gallagher...

I would agree with him too...

Saw Rory in a band called Taste open for Blind Faith. Good player. Another Rory of note- and a woman, is blues guitarist Rory Block. She's a fine picker & has a great voice.

Many Thanks, H. Another "legend" verified.

And Rory Gallagher is a favorite, too. SRV (another favorite) 10 yrs. before SRV.
