Specifically, if the wood was created with glue that off-gases in a humid environment (such as formaldehyde based glues used a lot around the world), then you will know it for sure. If the glue is a water-based glue like used in Medex or Medite, you should be fine, otherwise you might have to find a way to seal to the wood away from the high humidity...
